September 26th, 7-10PM  | @ERB Taproom

Every 4th Thursday night of the month we’re bringing in some of our rad friends in the industry and hosting a “Hanging with our Homies” night where our guest will bring some of their delicious product and take over two of our taps! You’ll also be able to ask questions of their rad brewers about how they came up with the beer recipe, how much they love their job….or whatever you like.

The event is happening September 26th from 7-9pm. Pop on down to the taproom and check out our homies from Enegren. You might recognize them from beers such as Valkyrie California Altbier, Protector Imperial IPA, Protector – Hop Project IPA and many more!

To find out more about Enegren Brewing Co. visit their website: HERE.

It’s going to be an exciting night as they come share new brews with us and as always you’ll get to hang out with their team and ask all the beer questions you’d like. Make sure you’re here!

As usual we’ll have tasty bites in the lot for you…this time by Canvas Foods to make sure your belly is full and happy.

September 27th, 6-10PM  | @ERB Taproom

Oktoberfest is pretty much like a birthday party for beer. But this year we decided to crank it up an extra level and team up with Evan and Alex from Hot Knives and turn that party into a CARNIVAL.

That’s right, we’re doing Oktoberfest…..carnival style.

Our taproom will be open to the public as usual but will have a circus like atmosphere where you can purchase tickets to use at various booths around the brewery.

We’re gonna have a pairing booth w/ those awesome dudes Alex and Evan, a photo booth, a specialty beer booth, readings of beer paraphernalia, crazy-good hot dog truck and the ULTIMATE EVENT: an arm-wrestling invitational where other brewers will be here to throw down.

So come one, come all to this ADULT carnival. Or just grab your favorite pint and watch all the mayhem!

Tickets will be available to purchase at the brewery and can be used at each booth in exchange for goods.

You won’t want to miss this night!

Curious about making your own beer at home? Looking for new friends to brew with? Wanna hone your brewing skills? Or just looking for new brewing techniques or recipes to add to your repertoire? We’ve got just the solution!! And, since we’re in a brewery, as opposed to the garage, the batch we brew will eventually go on tap in the tasting room!

This month we’ll be brewing up a batch of beer with the LA Beer Week theme! We’ll be using the ingredient every local brewery used in their Beer Week batches: Honey. And our brew will be in the style of the UNITY brew for this year. Want to know more and be part of the batch? Get your ticket quick!

The cost is $20 and will include a simple lunch and a pint of one of our house beers. The taps will be available at their usual prices if you’re still feeling thirsty. You’re also welcome to bring your own homebrews to share or to get objective opinions.

It will be a full brew day, so be prepared to spend some quality time with your favorite brewery staff and to make some tasty beverage!

Space is limited, so be sure to RSVP by purchasing the class in our online store to save your spot soon!

What the f#&k is “Hanging w/ our Homies”?

This year we started a fun new event each month that we so kindly like to call, “Hanging w/ our Homies”. But maybe you’ve read that title and thought…. “what the eff is that?”

No worries… I’ll explain it to you.

2013-07-25 19.32.30

In the beer world we all have these very unique relationships called friendships. It’s a pretty mind-blowing concept in the world of business because we all love each other and want to support each others goals and build a community for you the consumer (whom we also consider our friends).

Photo via Friends of Local Beer

Because of that idea we started the “Hanging w/ our Homies”. Every fourth Thursday night of the month, we invite a brewery that we love into our taproom to share their beers and their love of beer with you. They take over 2-3 of our taps and some fridge space with their bottles and then stay to answer questions and share a pint with you. You can ask them how they make their beer, why they love beer or even what color underwear they have on. It’s up to you. But it’s a time we created so that we can all get together and celebrate what we love most. That beer stuff.

So come. Enjoy. Have a pint. Ask a question. Hug a brewer.

Every fourth Thursday.

April Women’s Forum Recap

This month we celebrated our RYE sense of humor with a flight full of deliciously diverse rye-based beers. As usual we kicked off the night with our flight sheet and our NEW Women’s Forum glassware (which you can purchase in the taproom or online) and some good eats from Bangers and Smashed!

2013-04-17 18.55.14

Our flight of “rye” consisted of four brews. The first “Hoss” by Great Divide, followed by “Ruthless Rye” by Sierra Nevada, then “Sour in the Rye” from The Bruery and finally “Barrel-aged Threes” by yours truly: Eagle Rock Brewery.

Our next forum will be May 15th at 7pm.

Curious what the Women’s Forum is all about? Check out more info here.
